A Stroll Through Union Square
March 23, 2017
New York is full of history. But walking around this beautiful city, with all the new restaurants, bars, shops, and more, it can be hard to remember each neighborhood's historical context. Luckily, the Union Square Partnership offers a free walking tour of Union Square every Saturday. Starting at 2pm, the tour takes you through history– exploring the social and political history, people, and events that made Union Square the fun, funky neighborhood that it is today. So take a walk through history and enjoy a day in the square!
Tours meet at the Abraham Lincoln Statue near 16th Street– look for the guide holding a "Union Square: Crossroads of New York" sign. Reservations are only necessary for groups of 10 or more. More information can be found here.
