Fashionistas, get ready for New York Fashion Week! This year, Fashion Week will take place at Lincoln Center. Hurry up! Fashion Week starts on September 8 and runs until September 15. For more information, visit the official website.
openhousenewyork celebrates New York City's architecture and design. This year, the event will take place the weekend of October 15 & 16. Special tours, talks, and workshops will allow you to learn about NYC's architecture and design, all for free!

Join the Central Park Conservancy's annual outdoor film series this year from August 23-27. A film will be played each night at 8pm in Central Park, just north of Sheep Meadow, which is accessible from the 72nd Street entrance. The films being shown are: El Cantante, Bird, Dreamgirls, Shine a Light, and a viewer's choice on the final night. It's a great way to spend time as summer approaches an end.

NYC hosts tons of interesting museums from the Met Museum to the Museum of Natural History. But they can be expensive. Luckily, many offer specials on certain days of the week, or suggested donations, which means you can pay what you wish. The Met has a suggested donation of $25, but if you don't have that much you can pay what you can. Here is a list of museums with free or suggested admissions for 2011. Don't forget, The Met, Cloisters, American Museum of Natural History, and many more are always pay-as-you-wish!
