For all of you restaurant week fanatics out there, it should come at no surprise to you that restaurant week has been extended until September 5 this year. That means you have more time to try new restaurants or revisit old favorites. Enjoy!
Take a walk on the wild side and visit the Bronx Zoo for the day! It houses more than 4,500 animals. It's great fun for both kids and adults, and don't forget to catch the Sea Lion feeding. Check the official website for hours, admission, and feeding times.
When traveling to NYC you might not even think about visiting New Jersey. But Hoboken, NJ is an easy trip, it's also the home of The Cake Boss! To get to Hoboken, just take the PATH train from 33rd St and 6th Avenue, they run pretty frequently and only cost you $1.75 per trip. When you arrive, walk one block down Hudson St and turn left onto Newark St, then walk another block to Washington St. and turn right. Be prepared for a line and have fun!
New York City is arguably the epicenter of entertainment and luckily for you, you can be a part of it all! Come join your favorite TV personalities for a live viewing of their shows. The New York Grand Opera is planning two free performances in Central Park's Naumburg Bandshell this summer! "La Boheme" and "Madama Butterfly" will play at 7:30pm on July 20 and August 3, repectively. So don't miss your chance to see these two great performances for free!
As you know, seeing shows on Broadway isn't cheap. But what if you could see some acts from Broadway's biggest shows for free? On Thursdays from 12:30-1:30pm in Bryant Park, you can! Happy 4th of July to everyone! Macy's fireworks will be on the Hudson River this year, and as always, will be a spectacular show! If you'll be heading to Coney Island for the 4th you'll be able to witness the 2011 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest.
