NYC Summer Restaurant Week is finally approaching and reservations are open! As always, restaurant week is a great chance to try something new for a great price. At $24.07 for a 3-course lunch and $35 for a 3-course dinner, the prices can't be beat for NYC. Restaurant Week is from July 11 to 24. Every Tuesday from 5:30-7:30pm the City Winery is holding a Wine and Music Festival at the courtyard behind the winery. The music is free and tickets are not required. Wine, food, and beer are available for purchase. This is a great chance to spend some time outdoors and listen to some great music!

Phase II of The High Line opened this Tuesday, which doubles the length of the park. The High Line is located on the West side of Manhattan and exposes you to some of New York City's best views. A perfect way to spend a summer afternoon in the city! For more information, visit the official website.

Governors Island is officially open for the season on Fridays, Saturdays, and Holiday Mondays. So if you're in the city and looking for somewhere to escape this might be a good day trip. The best part is the fact that it's a free ferry ride over there! Many great events will take place there, like the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic this Sunday at 2:30pm. There are tons of free concerts and movies all summer long in NYC, but if you're looking for something a little more sophisticated you don't have to look far. Shakespeare in the park starts June 6 and runs until July 30. Plays take place in the Delacorte Theater in Central Park beginning at 8pm.
