Located in the East River of NYC, this narrow island is home to a very distinguished architectural history. Along with its architecture, R.I.'s infrastructure is also a marvel. In 1969, the island was divided into 3 residential areas and automobile usage was forbidden. Instead, cars were parked in garages and public transportation was used to get around the island.
