Choose What You Read NY: A Library Community For Commuters
Hey here's a cool idea: straphangers sharing books with one another. Choose What You Read NY is a non-profit that operates as a sort of library for commuters. On the first Tuesday of each month, volunteers will stand near major subway stations to distribute books to commuters who may be looking for new reading materials to make their trip a bit easier. The program is completely free and operates on a trust system where commuters will hopefully return books and even donate books of their own.
My name is Norman and I am 67 years old. I am from Scottsdale, Michigan. I am staying 6 days with my wife in New York. But, it’s not my first time in New York! I am retired, so I have plenty of time to travel. We come to New York once a year and I also travel a lot to Europe (Sicily, Amsterdam, Barcelona…).
