If you are looking for places where you can change money in New York, there are places at the airport, and also several in the city. A lot of banks will have currency exchange windows. However, you can get a poor rate at most of these places. To get the best exchange rate, it’s better to use your credit card for big amounts or to use an ATM to get some cash. There will be a charge but you would still save money because the rate should be more interesting! Also, make sure before you leave your country to let you bank know about your trip so that a fraud protection flag doesn’t close your card if you are using it in New York.
