The best sheet of ice in Bryant Park!

Ice-cold and free this holiday season...

'The Pond' at Bryant Park is the city's newest ice skating rink! The "170x100" state-of-the-art rink allows free skating though you must pay to rent skates ($7.50 per session.) Office-goers in the area will enjoy their new perk - a skating lunch break! An ice cafe, snack bar and viewing deck complete the Pond experience! Skating lessons are also available for those gliding on thin ice!

The world's first ice rink (mechanically refrigerated) was built in 1876 in Chelsea, London and was called the Glaciarium(source:about.com). Think Winter Olympics to better appreciate the beauty of this invention!

Coming soon....pictures of the Pond!
